The journey for my life changing diet started in September 2016. Prior to that point I was 303 lbs., wearing a 4XL shirt and size 50 pants. I was also starting to have physical problems due to my diet and physical condition. My knees were starting to give me a lot of pain and I was unable to walk barefoot; to the point of me having to purchase special shoe inserts in order to walk without pain. I was also taveling a lot with work and traveling; or fitting in a plane sit was very uncomfortable. Within only a couple of weeks of starting the Ideal Protein diet, the pain in my feet and knees completely went away. I had only lost about 20 lbs. at that point; however, the diet really helped to reduce the inflammation in my joints. Fast forward 8 months and I was down a total of 90 lbs. I know many people are skeptical about the word “diet” and I totally understand. I had tried many different diets, with no results. Ideal Protein is the first one that actually worked for me. That’s because I learned that it’s not only about how much you eat, but what you eat. Each week, Joni walked me through what I needed to eat and how much to consume. She was my accountability partner, who performed weekly weigh-ins and measurements on me. She would give me advice on how to eat when I traveled for work and what I needed to work on, all at the same time giving me positive feedback too. The diet has improved many aspects of my life. In fact, it has enabled me to get to the point that I have recently ran a 5k and my first ever 10k. I also have so much more energy, which helps not only me, but my family. I am very thankful for Joni and Ideal Protein.
