Tip #1: Book a room with a kitchenette or mini-fridge

A living space that’s drastically different from what you’re used to at home can make it difficult to eat normally while on vacation. To make it easier, book a room with a kitchenette. When that’s not an option, request a mini-fridge for your room. This is a common request that most hotels can easily accommodate. You can store fresh fruits and vegetables to snack on, so you don’t go overboard on indulgences or hit the vending machine at midnight.

Tip #2: Stay active

There’s nothing wrong with kicking back and relaxing while on vacation. However, to balance things out, plan fun activities that get you moving. Depending on where you spend your time away you can plan hikes, swimming, sightseeing, kayaking, and more.
